Dr. Angelo Leto Barone
(Founder and President) Dr. Angelo Leto Barone is a native of Italy, where he graduated from the University of Palermo School of Medicine. He performed research at USC, Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He graduated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency from the Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland program and Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery fellowship from the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and is now practicing at Nemours Children's Hospital Florida, in Orlando. He has a strong interest in international medicine and humanitarian missions. |
Dr. Néha Datta
(Vice-President) Dr. Néha Datta is a native of Canada, and she graduated from Harvard Medical School/MIT-HST. She completed a general surgery residency at UCLA and a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins/University of Maryland program. She completed a Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship from SUNY in Syracuse, NY, where she focused on facial differences and their treatment. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery and of Otolaryngology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. |
Dr. Hannah Bergman
(Board Member) Dr. Bergman is a native of Wisconsin and earned her medical degree from the University of WI-School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center followed by fellowship in Pediatric Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery at Nationwide Children's Hospital/The Ohio State University. She now directs the CoxHealth Cleft Lip and Palate Center in Springfield, MO. |
Dr. Andrew Mills (Board Member) Dr. Andrew Mills is a Board Certified plastic surgeon, treating a wide range of plastic surgery concerns, including aesthetic, reconstructive and functional problems. Dr. Mills, a Bottineau, ND native, attended the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Grand Forks. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, MN. |
Dr. Charles C. Jehle (Board Member) Dr. Jehle is a Kansas native and currently practices plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Kansas. After earning his medical degree at University of Kansas, Dr. Jehle completed an integrated plastic surgery residency at Brown University in Rhode Island. He then completed added training at University of Pennsylvania's hand and microsurgery fellowship within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. |
Diego Gomez
(Director of Social Media) Diego Gomez is a native of Spain and a current third-year medical student at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. His clinical research has focused on the use of artificial intelligence in diagnosing genetic conditions. After graduation, he is interested in pursuing a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He joined Reconstruct Together to support their mission of advocating for children with reconstructive needs. |
Kiana Hashemi (Director of Operations, Secretary) Kiana Hashemi is a native of California and is currently a second-year medical student at University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She plans to pursue a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery. She joined Reconstruct Together to take part in the effort of providing reconstructive care to populations in need. |
